The Orthopedics department at PGH offers an extensive range of surgical solutions to address a variety of musculoskeletal issues, ensuring optimal mobility and recovery. These include:

Fracture Repair: Our skilled surgeons utilize advanced techniques such as nailing, plating, and external fixation to effectively stabilize and promote healing of complex bone fractures.

Ligament Reconstruction: Surgical procedures are tailored to reconstruct torn ligaments in the knee, such as the ACL and PCL, restoring stability and facilitating functional recovery.

Arthroscopic Repair: Minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery is employed to address shoulder problems like instability and rotator cuff tears, resulting in shorter recovery times and reduced postoperative discomfort.

Head of Department:

Our department is led by a distinguished surgeon, recipient of the Best Clinician award in 1999 at the AO Course in Ireland. A pioneer in Arthroscopic Surgery within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), they have made significant contributions to the field. Notably, their design and implementation of the “Suture anchor” technique in Shoulder Surgery has yielded excellent patient outcomes.
