Medical education: Our goal is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate training of the highest level in the medical and paramedical fields.

Research: We aim to conduct regular “clinical audits”, and quality research and be involved in multi-center studies.

Community Involvement: We shall create “Friends of PGH Children” to involve the community in spreading health awareness related to Breastfeeding, Weaning, Nutrition, Immunization, etc. Initiating a Child development unit & raising funds to help the less advantaged. The Department of Pediatrics at PGH is led by a team of highly qualified Consultants, having a wealth of experience, from abroad and in Peshawar, both in the public and private sectors.

The environment is child and family-friendly, competitively affordable, and adherence to high standards of medical care in a private setup.

We are located at a crossroad region which is a center point of the merger of a variety of cultures and at a border with Afghanistan. As a result, we have the responsibility of providing care to patients from various cultures, languages, educational backgrounds, and resources. The Pediatric Department has developed and has the flexibility to evolve to face the new challenges.

Symptoms & Diagnosis

Pediatric symptoms, ranging from fever and respiratory issues to gastrointestinal problems and skin conditions, serve as vital indicators of underlying health concerns in children. These cues guide pediatricians in conducting thorough assessments, including medical history and physical examinations, to formulate accurate diagnoses. Effective communication between healthcare providers and parents is essential for tailoring appropriate interventions and ensuring comprehensive care for each child.

Pediatric diagnosis integrates medical history, physical exams, and tests to identify health issues in children. Common symptoms like fever, respiratory distress, and developmental concerns guide this process. Laboratory tests and imaging studies provide crucial insights, fostering accurate diagnoses. Collaboration among healthcare providers ensures tailored management plans and comprehensive pediatric care.
