Professor Dr. Kifayat Khan is a highly respected name in the field of Paediatric Surgery with over three decades of experience in treating surgical conditions in children. A native of Peshawar and a graduate of Khyber Medical College (MBBS, 1985), Dr. Kifayat began his career in the provincial health services in 1987. He completed his FCPS in Paediatric Surgery in 1997 and subsequently joined PGMI/Lady Reading Hospital as Assistant Professor, marking the beginning of a long and impactful academic and clinical career.

He has served in various key positions, including Professor of Paediatric Surgery, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Member of the Academic Council, and Chairman of the Departmental Promotion Committee at Lady Reading Hospital. Dr. Kifayat has also played an essential role in postgraduate education as a CPSP Supervisor, FCPS Faculty Member, Examiner for FCPS-II, and paper setter.

He is a life member of the Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Pakistan and has held the post of Vice President of the association. His contributions to pediatric surgery also extend into academic research and peer-reviewed journal work, where he has reviewed numerous papers and contributed valuable insights to the field.
