The unit features private, fully equipped patient rooms with advanced bedside monitoring systems. Each room is outfitted with:
- Continuous Vital Monitoring: Including ECG, pulse oximetry, capnography, and invasive as well as non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- Integrated Technology: Bedside computer documentation, laboratory management, and remote alarm capabilities that alert clinical staff instantly.
- Specialized Environments: Options for negative pressure isolation rooms for infectious cases, as well as bariatric-capable rooms to accommodate patients of all sizes.
Patient Population and Services
The SICU cares for patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-support interventions after major surgeries and traumatic injuries. Our multidisciplinary team is experienced in managing:
